What is The Global Warming?-

What does the Oxford Dictionary say about it?
Global Warming is a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth's atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased by levels of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and other Pollutions.

How about that in simple language...
Global Warming is an effect to unusually rapid increases in Earth's average surface temperatures over the past 100 years mostly because of greenhouse gases release by humans and nature burning fossil and natural fuels.

1.What are the effects of Global Warming?
Global Warming, the gradual heating of Earth's surface, oceans and atmosphere, is caused by mostly the activities of people, primarily because of the purposeful burning of fossil fuels that release carbon dioxide, vehicle exhausts, methane's and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

Also, natural causes occurring by releases of smoke through forest fires and volcanic explosions. The effects are wider swings of temperature that cause floods, droughts, ice cap melting, stronger storms and winter freezes like cyclones, tornadoes and hurricanes.

2.What are the major causes of global warming?
According to sciencing.com, there are many causes.
  • Cause #1: Greenhouse Gases created by both human and natural events.
  • Cause #2: Changes in the Sun's Intensity
  • Cause #3: Human-based Industrial Activities
  • Cause #4: Human-based Agricultural Activities
  • Cause #5: Deforestation by mostly human but also nature at work.

3.Why should be take Global Warming seriously?
Like we stated above....
It has become quite clear, by both observation, and by scientific that ever-increasing rising temperatures are worsening many types of natural disasters, like storms, heat waves, floods, and droughts.

A warmer climate also creates an unstable atmosphere that can gather, retain, and shed more water, thus changing, for the more dramatic, weather patterns in such a way that rainy areas become rainier and the drier. The natural balance of the earth's swing patterns is becoming wider and wider to the point now where many locations are nearly out of control.
4.What are TEN Easy steps that we can take to reduce Global Warming?
Act locally, nationally, and internationally
  1. Plan and take shorter trips to the market, parks, and malls by combining outings on a more weekly basis.
  2. Turn the thermostats up more in the summer and down more in the winter to save more energy.
  3. Wear more clothes at night when you go to sleep if you need to stay warmer. Socks really help.
  4. Reduce as much water-waste as you can. Do less dish loads, wash loads, lawn and plant watering. Take shorter showers.
  5. Try to save, Store and eat all the food you buy. Freeze foods if possible. Consume more easy on the environment foods like rice, beans and wheat. They are all cheap, Healthy and environmentally-friendly. Eat Less Meat! meat, especially beef is creating a climate crisis all over the world. Our underground aquifers are being drained and will never be replaced.
  6. Purchase more efficient lighting bulbs like LED's. Recycle the old, wasteful incandescent.
  7. Drive more fuel-efficient vehicles with greater mileages. Diesels. Electrics.
  8. Upgrade your home with more renewable energies, like solar.
  9. Invest in as much weatherization as you can afford. Insulate. New windows.
  10. If you can afford it, Upgrade to the most Energy Star energy-efficient appliances.
